⁣Our first release as a band! We call ourselves "Aromem" which means "I will exalt" in Hebrew. This song "Ancient Trail" is a powerful reminder that those who follow Yeshua are never without tribe or home. We hope you enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Native American flute. We also used banjo, harmonica, and electric guitars to record this.

Recent generations have learned really well how to distract themselves from harsh realities --- much of the crazy we see is people trying to distract themselves from hard things that they've not been prepared to face.We have to do better by our kids. Most parents want their kids to have an idyllic childhood with no worries---but this is setting them up for some scary realities once they get a little older.I made a commitment to always answer my kids' questions at the maturity level they're at. I never dismiss their questions with, "wait until you're older".I'm hoping to give you some scripts throughout this video to help you communicate with your kids about hard things in an honest way.

In keeping with the idea of being "set apart", the question arises regarding our walk. Who are we? This week we'll look at that. We'll examine some basic ideas regarding the Messianic walk. Call it "foundation work". What are we based on? What do we believe? How do we demonstrate that?Lots of questions to look into this week.

⁣A song about the inward struggle of knowing to do good, but doing the opposite.

Based on Romans 7:
"For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin."

Thanks for listening.

⁣"Be Thou My Vision" is one of the most well know hymns of all time and for good reason. It's Celtic melody is one of the most beautiful masterpieces of music. Because Aromem wishes for there to be peace and fellowship between the Native American peoples and all people around the world, we continue to symbolize that fellowship by joining native instruments with others to make a sweet offering of praise to the creator Yahuwah.

"He Who Holds Almighty Power" is a song recounting the victories of the God of Israel across thousands of years. From the engulfing of the army of Pharaoh in the sea, to the cry of heaven in Revelation "Fallen in Babel!".

Lyrics:

VERSE 1
The arrows fly by night, ten thousand may fall at my side
No more ground I give to Yah's foesThe sword may freeze in my hand, yet I will not surrender this land
No more ground I give to Yah's foes

CHORUS
He who holds almighty power sits enthroned on high
and now the nations see HisAwesome might as he draws His sword.
Let the righteous prepare for war!

VERSE 2
Mighty men of old, their strength was Yours alone
You raise fearsome warriors from the weak
Behold heavens champion comes! Yahuwah is a God of War!
Behold His reign has come forever more!

BRIDGE
The horse and rider are thrown into the seaPharaoh and his army are drowned in the deep (3x)

A sword for Yahuwah and a sword for GideonA sword for Yahuwah and a sword for Gideon (2x)

Shaul has slain his thousands, Daveed his tens of thousands
Shaul has slain his thousands and Daveed his tens of thousands (2x)

Worthy is the Lamb, to receive all praise
Worthy is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain

Fallen is Babel! (4x)Fallen is Babel, fallen is Babel!Fallen is Babel!

Verse 1
Broken, broken! May the grasp of darkness in your soul, be broken
Burning, burning are your high places where evil lived, and stained the land
Dancing, dancing! May your feet move freely to heavenly beats as you claim victory!
Oh! Oh!
Oh! Oh!
Verse 2
Be fruitful, fruitful may your tent be filled with Yah's children, may your arms be filled.
May rain fall, rain fall, May Yah bless your fields and increse your yield, may your mouths be filled
And Yah's Spirit, His Spirit, be outpoured on you like heavenly dew, may His Word be found in you!
Bridge
Broken is darkness
Burning are high places
Dancing are Yahuwah`s children

I sang this song with a wonderful bunch of youth at a youth Bible School this last fall. This is a personal arrangement and was arranged to tell a story of how a believer's life is like. Originally written by the man Mennonites are named after, Menno Simmons, The tune is much newer. I do not own the copyright but want to share it to encourage others. One note: it is missing the Bass as my prominent Bass singer dropped out without notice.
