⁣Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.
Romans 6:8-9 ESV

What does it mean that Christ was raised from the dead? Can he have a physical body in Heaven? What exactly is Heaven?

The Common Sense Bible Study crew wades into some deep waters in this video while I repeatedly say "I don't know".

⁣For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
Romans 7:14-17 ESV

Until the resurrection, we all face a constant struggle with the flesh to live according to God's Law, but as long as we struggle, we also have a good indication that our spirits are already in agreement with the Law. Remember that your salvation doesn't depend on your feelings and failures, but on your commitment to remain faithful in spite of those things.

⁣Joe Aymond grew up in Port Barre, LA where his dad began teaching and exposing him to music at a very young age. In 1996, Joe joined together with 4 friends and formed a worship band. With the invaluable support and direction of their youth pastor, Chris Burney, Xtreme Faith traveled from Louisiana to Florida for the next 3 1/2 years leading worship for youth ministries, camps, and retreats. During this time, Joe felt the unmistakable call to ministry.

In 2000, Joe moved to DeRidder, Louisiana, where he traveled, singing and leading worship for Evangelist Kelly Hendren. In 2001, Joe became the Student Pastor at Grace in DeRidder. During his 14 years at Grace, Joe has preached, taught, and led worship all across the country.

In mid-2006, the Father began speaking to Joe and disturbing his peace. Joe began digging and studying everything he could to find out what the Father was teaching, where He was guiding him, and what direction he was to take. Joe and his little family studied and observed Torah personally for several years until the Father called them to step out from their church staff position in 2015. After taking time to seek the Father on what to do next, Out of Ashes Ministries was born. OAM continues to grow, being a bridge for those whom the Father is awakening, and providing a safe and healthy place to come together to learn and grow in The Way of Messiah Yeshua, the Torah.

Joe currently resides in Rosepine, LA with his beautiful wife Heather and four children: Gabriella, Genevieve, Josiah, and Asher.

Facts Lies Mistakes & Pride: The last message in the series Learn Real Christianity from Scratch! available here https://firstcenturychristianity.net/from-scratch/
Learning topics of substance, especially something foreign or new, requires working through biases and pre-conceived notions. We are also required to be disciplined, patient, and methodical. I explain how to do this in this installment of the message. I also explain the incredible gravity of why we need to apply these virtues to arrive at the truth.
Discipline is key. Society has great systems for arriving at truth and facts. From childhood, most of us were taught the Scientific Method. This is a recipe for challenging hypotheses until they pass enough tests to become Scientific Law. This method requires patience, discipline, and objectivity. The same virtues are required when we take up matters of law. Our judicial system is set up very similar to that of the Torah. Two or more witnesses are required to establish facts in the Bible, specifically facts about sin and law.
In business, society has systems of standards like the International Standards Organization and the Six Sigma method of improvement. These systems, and their equivalents, are established similar to the Scientific Method. They drive us to challenge norms and constantly improve through methods established to unearth truth.
Two big examples of how disregarding societal standards come from two instances. One is ancient and biblical. The other is recent and societal. The recent departure was the maniacal usage of hand sanitizer during COVID. Those who work in labs are trained, drilled even, to know how to respond to airborne pathogens. Hand sanitizer has no effect. Yet ALL of society's leaders in science disregarded their training at the drop of an emotional hat.
The second centers around the mission of these messaged: Christ and Him Crucified. When the people had the Messiah executed, they emotionally disregard a foundation of the Torah. This foundation was part of their core identity: the law of two or more witnesses. They threw all they knew to be true out the window and had an innocent man executed, even shouting they had no king but Caesar. That sentence rejected YHVH as their true King and Yeshua as their Prince. This message, in video above and print at https://firstcenturychristiani....ty.net/facts-lies-mi shows you how to avoid being like these two groups of bad actors

The SKF Passover Package Program was created in 2011 and is now the largest of its kind in the nation. It is designed to enable Sabbath and festival observant inmates across the USA to keep the most basic of scriptural commands of Passover while in prison, and without this service, they cannot. Over the last few years we have been blessed to be able to provide well over 10,000 Passover packages to hundreds of prisons across the nation. However, we could and should have provided many more than that. It is only for lack of funds that we cannot provide these vitally important packages for all inmates of our faith.
We have worked very hard over the years to get them approved in most prison systems across the country, and we are very blessed to now have many Chaplains and volunteers calling us each spring to request these packages for their Sabbath and festival-observant inmates. We are also blessed to have several volunteers from a wide range of Sabbath-keeping faiths who donate their time each year at our “Passover Package Party” to help us with the physical effort of putting together thousands of packages and getting them all into the mail. It is a herculean task, and there are a few loving people who always show up faithfully to do the work. Of course, we can always use more volunteers to help us do this, and you are invited.
Here in this brief video, we try to give you just a taste of what it is like to perform this blessed service to our brothers and sisters behind bars, and to see something of what our charity is all about. It is only a small sample of what we do, but I hope it accomplishes that task. For you who have already donated to help in this effort, thank you, and may the Most-High bless you for your charity. For those of you who have not yet donated time or resources, may YHWH inspire your heart to fulfill the words of our savior when he said,
“Then the King shall say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world – for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry and we fed You, or thirsty and gave You to drink? And when did we see You a stranger and took You in, or naked and clothed You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and we came to You?’ And the King shall answer and say to them, ‘Amein, I say to you, in so far as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’”

The goal in raising children is to produce productive adults that can contribute to the betterment of mankind. Today, this is best achieved by breaking from the traditional education system in whole or in part. This is a testimonial about our experience with home schooling meant to encourage others who are looking for alternatives. Messianic Torah Portion Vayeshev (and he lived) is about Joseph being sold into slavery by his own brothers. There are many parallels between Joseph and Yeshua, the Messiah, which we discuss in this study. The focus of our congregational discussion is on prophecy and its ultimate purpose, which is to further the kingdom of God.

⁣For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Romans 13:9 ESV

Was Paul saying that "Love your neighbor as yourself" sums up only the Ten Commandments and not all the rest of God's instructions? No! Because all of the rest of God's commandments are summed up in the Ten. To love your neighbor is to keep all of God's commandments, not just the Ten.

⁣Then Reuben said to his father, “Kill my two sons if I do not bring him back to you. Put him in my hands, and I will bring him back to you.”
Genesis 42:37 ESV

Reuben's actions and words in Genesis seem random and a bit crazy until you put them all together, and then they start to form a consistent pattern. Reuben was a firstborn son who saw himself being bypassed by his younger brothers. Most of his seemingly bizarre interactions with Jacob, Bilhah, Joseph, and Benjamin can be explained as a series of attempts to regain his position at the head of the family.

Understanding the state of the dead blesses us to be able to understand the bible from Genesis to Revelation. Most believers shudder to think of being part of a one-world pagan religion, so it will come as a shock to learn that the majority of the world believes in eternal souls due to paganism, a fact that is not in doubt. This message is not meant to be comprehensive, but to illustrate the basic belief of the first century Christians and how the doctrine of eternal souls is ultimately incompatible with scripture. Please visit https://firstcenturychristianity.net/ for more teachings on the faith once delivered to the saints.

There's a really big reason for Christians to keep God's diet as outlined in Leviticus 23 that has nothing to do with health.
